Hello Everyone,
We are making some good
progress towards getting God's people in place to carry out the VBS
ministry. Thanks to those who responded already this morning. For
those of you who did not respond yet I have some more information.
The success of our VBS
program depends on numbers of volunteers. My hope is to have a
lot of people as opposed to not having enough. Having plenty of
people means that everyone will have some responsibility and no one will
be over-burdened. Having many people serving will mean that everyone
can operate in their areas of talent, ability, and gifting. We can
make this happen and do it well! To quote a
famous pastor, "I have a dream!" My dream is for a loving
and caring congregation to come together to produce a
memorable, exciting, and fun vacation
That said,
I have another piece to add to this just for men. We need more men to help with VBS!
VBS ministries are usually done by women in most churches. Say it ain't so! It is time for men to step up to the plate
and be that man!
Yeah, we're all tired after working all day and we're all busy, but VBS is
important enough to get a little more tired and a little more
busy. In 9 weeks VBS will be history. That ain't that long...I mean Guys...come on....you can do this
and you will be blessed for it. God is our father; come be an example
of Him to our children in VBS.
Be a part of something
bigger than yourself. VBS impacts people's lives for years to
come. Now is the time of opportunity...God has a plan and he wants you to
be a part of it. Call me
